· Faculty member teaching, “dance history” and “Progressive choreography” at the Department of Indian Music, University of Madras.
· Produced and presented several dance ballets both in India and abroad. Latest few works based on world famous Indian epics still touring.
· Researching and writing a work on the “dance inscriptions of Tamilnadu” commissioned by The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, through a fellowship grant.
· As the Director of RANGA MANDIRA, school for performing arts, has been imparting training to learners in dance, dance music, dance history and folklore over the last decade.
· Performs at various forums and spaces within India including the prestigious Visaka Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha and other leading national forums.
· Tours for solo dance programmes and dance ballets in various venues to countries such as USA, Europe, Middle East, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Mauritius etc.
· Engaged in documentation of rare and invaluable dance forms once practiced by the Devadasis (hereditary performers) communities in south India.
· Formulated and conducts a successful annual art festival called “Arts by-for and of the ruralcommunities.” It is a unique model wherein urban and rural arts are given a common forum for display and dialogue.
