· B. A. Sociology, M.O.P Vaishnav College, University of Madras.
· Certified in “Deciphering South Indian Inscriptions”, REACH foundation, Director (former) Archaeological Survey of India.
· Post Graduate Diploma in “Acting for Camera” from San Jose State University (SJSU), California in 2002-2003.
· Trained in Bharatanatyam by the famous hereditary Guru K.J.Sarasa and the Kalyani Grand Daughters (devadasis of Tiruvalaputtur)
· Dance history special training from musicologist T.S.Parthasarathy
· Completed a special “karanas (2000 years old dancing technique)” course under Dr.Padma Subrahmanyam

· “Abhyasa Nritya Vardhini” title given by Abhyasa Academy of Classical dance, Coimbatore
· “Mayura Natya Tara” title given by Mayura Natyanjali, Mayavaram
· “Yuva Kala Bharati” title given by Bharat Kalachar, Chennai
· Received “Lakshmi Viswanathan endowment prize” for Best Varnam presentation from Krishna Gana sabha, Chennai
· Received several rave print reviews for performances from critics around the world including the USA, Indian press and the Middle Eastern press
Academic activities and Publications
· Edited the monthly Newsletter for Association of Bharatanatyam Artistes of India (ABHAI)
· Founder editor of “Tha Dhim” the journal of the Department of Indian Music, University of Madras
· Lectures on Dance history and aesthetics at various forums including, Tamil heritage group, Indian School of Philosophy and Indian Institute of Management (IIT)
· Submits articles and research papers for academic journals and annals on dance history including for the Society of Dance History Scholars (SDHS) UK
